1-   Discuss the administrative and logistic aspects of establishing drug information centres

2-   Describe effective oral &/or written communication methods with the client

3-   List common resources used in drug information centres, including the internet, and the use of relevant one when required.

4-   Appraize the importance of documenting drug information requests & and answers digitally &/or in paper format.

5-   Evaluate and prioritize requests according to their urgency.


6-   Explain the systematic approach and methods of its modification in answering drug information queries.


Learning Activity Description:

This 6-hours course aims to develop and enhance audience ability to retrieve, analyze, and communicate appropriate information on medications and health care issues to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals and the public.


Learning Outcome:

1-   Suboptimal understanding of the concept of medication information

2-   Suboptimal knowledge about the modified Systematic approach to Answering Question

3-   Insufficient understanding of methods of exploring common drug information references and locating the relevant clinical information
