Roadmap for
advancing to complex operative hysteroscopy |
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the anatomy and pathophysiology relevant to hysteroscopy.
2. Identify indications, contraindications, and patient selection for hysteroscopy.
3. Recognize the principles of instrumentation, energy sources, and fluid management.
4. Perform diagnostic hysteroscopy with accurate interpretation of findings.
5. Execute basic operative procedures including polypectomy, myomectomy (small submucosal), adhesiolysis, and septum resection.
6. Apply strategies to prevent and manage complications such as bleeding, uterine perforation, and fluid overload.
This 1 full day course provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform diagnostic hysteroscopy and basic operative procedures in a hospital or surgical setting. The program combines interactive lectures, case discussions, and hands-on workshops to ensure competence in cavity assessment, safe use of instruments, and execution of common therapeutic interventions. The emphasis is on patient safety, complication prevention, and building confidence in hysteroscopic surgery.
Participants completing this course will be able to:
1. Independently conduct diagnostic office hysteroscopy with high patient tolerability.
2. Perform minor see-and-treat interventions such as polypectomy and minor adhesiolysis.
3. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
4. Troubleshoot common intra-procedural problems and emergencies.
5. Establish or optimize an office hysteroscopy service model in their practice.
You have to attend the workshop to obtain the certificate.
