A graduate of King Saud University in Riyadh Saudi Arabia Dr.Jamil ElFarra is a board-certified Obstetrician and gynecologist and  Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist at Norton Health Group in Louisville, Kentucky. He has over 15 years of teaching experience. He did his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Stamford Hospital/Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and King Fahad National Guard hospital. During that time Dr. Elfarra won several awards, including the Resident Teaching Award for three consecutive years, and the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine Excellence in Obstetrics Award. He did his Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Elfarra also served as the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists District I Junior Fellow Secretary-Treasurer and Connecticut Junior Fellow chair.  He is the author of several book chapters including the Pregnancy-Related Stroke chapter in the 6th edition of critical care obstetrics book.  He also has multiple publications in well-respected Peer-reviewed Journals.
